About this project
Tontineo's mission control — a complete admin application to run the platform from one screen
Behind every serious consumer product is a powerful internal tool that most users never see. For Tontineo, that tool is the administration web application: a centralized dashboard that lets the operations team supervise, debug, configure, and grow the platform safely. Built as a separate, hardened interface from the user-facing mobile app, it gives administrators the leverage to manage thousands of tontines, tens of thousands of users, and millions in transaction volume — without losing visibility or control.
The main features
- Centralized dashboard: a real-time overview of platform activity — active users, live tontines, transaction volumes, support tickets, key performance indicators — all visible at a glance on the first screen after login.
- User management: a complete interface to view, search, filter, and manage every user of the mobile app. Profile details, account history, KYC status, and audit trail for any action performed by or on the account.
- Tontine management: a supervision tool to track every active tontine — members, contribution schedules, current beneficiary, cumulative volume, status — in real time. The ops team can intervene when a group reports an issue, without ever touching the underlying data directly.
- Transaction management: detailed tracking of every financial transaction, with complete history, Stripe-side cross-reference, refund tooling, and verification workflows for compliance review.
- Waitlist management: a dedicated interface to curate the waiting list, approve access in batches, and give specific users early entry when appropriate.
- Administrator management: a role-based access control (RBAC) system to manage staff permissions, so each team member sees only what their role requires. Audit logs record every administrative action for accountability.
- Service configuration: a settings area to configure essential third-party integrations — Twilio credentials for SMS, Stripe keys for payments, support contact email, feature flags — without ever redeploying code.
- Modern interface: an elegant design with a dark navigation sidebar, clear content areas, and a UX tuned for long daily sessions of operational work.
- Multilingual support: the interface is available in both French and English, for international operational teams.
Why a dedicated admin app matters
Relying on database consoles or direct SQL queries is how fintech platforms get compromised or make unrecoverable mistakes. A dedicated admin application enforces safe, auditable, role-specific workflows around every sensitive action. It is the difference between an amateur operation and a mature one.
Technology stack
- React and TypeScript for the component architecture.
- Web application delivery with modern build tooling and deployment.
- Dashboard patterns with real-time data updates and filter-heavy interfaces.
- Admin panel architecture with RBAC, audit logs, and safe-action workflows.
- API integration with the Tontineo backend, Stripe, Twilio, and Firebase.
